The best ideas are born from the combination of head + heart + hands. Here at ilo we hope to provide beautifully curated supplies that spark joy & enlighten each of those realms.

We are a homeschool family in the Keweenaw Peninsula of MI. Opening this store together meant that everyone got to contribute ideas. As a professional artist I’ve long hoped to run a creative shop. Our oldest children jumped at the chance to offer books. Combining the two made sense, since in our world they fit together so well.

A well written or illustrated book can spark amazing creativity!

Every supply, kit, & book we offer has been carefully chosen, read, & enjoyed. Our kid’s selected their favorite titles across a span of genres. I selected quality art supplies from brands I know & trust, as well as a wide selection of creative kits that allow you or your kids to make something beautiful.

The majority of items we offer are made in the USA & the remainder I sourced from places like Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, & Scotland.
